Senior Account Manager – Software sales is required to join the Construction Industry’s foremost software company. Our client, the leading IT systems and services provider specialising in the construction and home-building markets. With revenues of £45m and offices across the world, they are a global software business with an established presence in the UK, USA, Australia and Asia. The company has over 300 staff and there are over 60,000 users of their products.

The Senior Account Manager – Software Sales will create long-term, trusting relationships with the company’s customers. He or she, will oversee a portfolio of assigned accounts, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities.

Selected responsibilities within the Senior Account Manager – Software Sales Role

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all customer account management matters
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements on the right commercial terms.
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales targets
  • Maintain an accurate sales forecast and track key account metrics.
  • Maintain accurate customer information in the company CRM system
  • Prepare reports on account status.
  • Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed

Required or Desired Skills and Experience of the Senior Account Manager- Software Sales Role

  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
  • Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office (particularly MS Excel, MS Word and MS Powerpoint)
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field
  • Experience working in the IT and/or construction sector
