This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced and accomplished logistics, leadership professional to join an exceptional group of companies, in a senior position. The business provides warehousing and logistics services, both to other group entities and to third parties, largely in the retail and automotive spaces.
The Operations Director will be joining an organisation that works for many well-known clients in retail and other sectors, holding large amounts of stock in its warehouses and distributing these items to sites as requested. Reporting to the Group Operations Director, the successful candidate will have responsibility for a peak workforce of up to 300 people, spread across four Yorkshire based facilities with around half a million square foot of warehouse space. Further, he or she will be responsible for a 130 strong fleet, comprising HGVs, Trailers and LCVs.
The Operations Director (a graduate), will be able to point to a track record of proven success and will have strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to lead and develop a high performing team. They will have excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities and will be proficient in data analysis, budgeting and reporting.
