Meet the team

Ian Berry

Ian is the founder and principal consultant of Rainford Berry.  He feels that the qualities he brings to recruitment are, on the client side, a tenacious “leave no stone unturned” attitude to finding the best person and with candidates, his keenness to listen to what is important to each individual.  Prior to starting Rainford Berry Ian worked for the excellent Sussex based agency, Accountancy Recruitment Consultants.

Ian’s previous career was in the event industry where he set up and ran a highly respected supplier of temporary structures whose clients ranged from British Airways to Kensington Palace.  Ian sold this business to his management team and the company goes from strength to strength today.  Ian feels that his time in the event industry gave him a strong appreciation of the need for quality customer service and a taste for working weekends! Ian’s interests are socializing with his family and friends and playing and watching various sports.  He does not share any of his wife’s artistic talents!

Peter Brown

Peter is a recent and senior addition to the Rainford Berry team, with over 10 years recruitment experience in the Surrey market, predominantly working in partnership with some of the region’s blue chip businesses. Peter is keen to develop the Rainford Berry brand by targeting larger companies with substantial finance teams that can benefit from his ability to culture match candidates to roles and organisations.

Outside of the workplace, Peter is a passionate sports lover, who will no doubt bore the rest of the office rigid with tales of his batting performances in the Summer and bemoaning Woking FC’s lack of a quality striker in the Winter.

 

Fofi Sims

One can’t talk about Fofi without mentioning her unusual name.  Fofi, (rhymes with coffee) is short for Fotini which gives a clue to her Greek parentage, her accent though is totally South African - which is where she was born and raised.  

We are delighted that Fofi has joined Rainford Berry, having worked before as a consultant for well known agencies both in England and South Africa.  She has joined Rainford Berry in a support role and is a fabulous addition to the team.  Fofi has a natural flair for customer service and takes each placement very personally.

 

Marie Berry

Marie is the Office Manager and Contract Consultant at Rainford Berry. Marie is responsible for the smooth running of our office and coordinates our temporary and contract staff.  Marie is very popular with our temps as she does such a good job of paying them quickly!

Before Marie joined Rainford Berry she worked as a Personal Assistant, based in New York and travelling extensively.  Prior to that Marie worked in Musical Theatre.  She cheerfully puts up with her husband’s obsession with sport while he silently suffers her obsession with Barbra Streisand!

Rosie Stringer

Currently on maternity leave, Rosie is our fabulous Telesales Executive / Recruitment Consultant.  Rosie’s talent is on the telephone which she cheerfully works every day, endeavoring to find the right opportunities for our candidates.

Prior to joining Rainford Berry, Rosie worked for a telemarketing agency, before which she had a career in teaching.  Her main passion in life (in addition to her family) are her numerous pets, including a rabbit called Riley.  Rosie also has a very impressive collection of high heeled shoes – indeed on the first day that she came in wearing flats, we thought that she had shrunk!
