Responsibilities: 

 

  • Running a busy portfolio of clients both as lead manager and overseeing other managers
  • Management of team of 8 – 10 people including managers, accounts assistants and administrative staff
  • Attendance at client Finance / Audit Committees and Board of Trustee meetings
  • Arranging, preparing and running client meetings usually at client sites throughout Central London
  • Meetings with prospective clients and writing proposals
  • Management accounts preparation and review
  • Preparation and review of draft statutory accounts and supporting year-end schedules for audit

Essential Skills:

  •  Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA)
  •  Charity sector audit experience and a strong interest in the sector
  •  Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including strong Excel Skills
  •  Ability to multi-task and service a portfolio of clients effectively and efficiently
  •  Excellent communication skills at all levels
  •  People management skills and ability to motivate staff
  •  Comfortable with ambiguity
  •  Ability to prioritise work and work to tight deadlines

Our client, a leading Heathrow based transportation company, require a Financial Accountant to join their Central Finance team.  This is an excellent opportunity to join a blue chip company in a key position with prospects for progression.  The Financial Accountant is responsible for the preparation and delivery of consolidated information and the review of entity based information as it relates to the particular BAA subgroup.  The Financial Accountant role includes influencing across finance and the broader business teams.  It also includes working with the auditors and senior management when finalising the accounts in order to obtain approval and sign off of the group and legal entity financial statements and other financial information.

  • Qualified accountant (first time passes), ideally an experienced “Big 4″ or Top 10 firm  ACA or ACCA with at least two years post qualification experience gained in a technical financial reporting role ideally in a FTSE250 or similar organisation
  • Exceptional results/delivery orientation displaying a proactive approach, positive and flexible attitude, ability to work as part of a highly motivated team and thrive in a constantly challenging and changeable environment
  • Detailed technical accounting knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP requirements with previous experience of working on FTSE250 or similar group consolidation activities.

Our client, a leading Heathrow based transportation company, require a Senior Financial Accountant to join their Central Finance team.  This is an excellent opportunity to join a blue chip company in a key position with prospects for progression.  The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for the management and delivery of multiple group entity financial statements within the group.

The  role includes taking a lead and influencing across finance (eg treasury, tax,BSC, capital, airport finance, mgt reporting) and broader business teams (eg co sec, legal, regulatory, commercial) and with the auditors, senior management and executive members discussing the accounts and preparation framework, researching, understanding and articulating technical matters and addressing issues in order to ultimately obtain approval and sign off of all five multiple GAAP groups and circa 100 legal entity financial statements and other Obligor and Regulatory financial information

  • Qualified accountant (first time passes), ideally an experienced “Big 4″ or Top 10 firm  ACA or ACCA with post qualification experience gained in a technical financial reporting role ideally in a FTSE250 or similar organisation.
  • A proven track record of delivering in a demanding environment-  displaying a proactive approach, positive and flexible attitude, ability to motivate and manage the team in a challenging and changeable environment
  • Detailed technical accounting knowledge of IFRSand UK GAAP requirements with the ability to identify, research and articulate the issues and requirements and apply to practical situations
  • Experience working with multi GAAP statutory consolidation systems with an understanding of developing, embedding and maintaining robust processes and controls in the environment
  • Proven ability to think and identify needs and opportunities and present thoroughly researched written, numerical and verbal presentations covering technical financial matters
  • Experience of taking the lead in developing and building effective working relationships with a network of individuals across a large and complex, multilocation, high profile organisation
  • Awareness of wider commercial environment
